CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Vatican spokesman has confirmed Pope Francis is working on setting up a trip to Mexico in 2016.
Chicago priest Fr. Manny Dorantes, who is the Spanish language assistant to the Vatican press office, tweeted Tuesday morning that the Vatican spokesman says "there's a project for the pope to visit Mexico in 2016 and visit the Our Lady of Guadalupe shrine."
There are no further details on the trip, including timing and duration, at this time.
