Black bear spotted in Fayetteville, N.C.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- A black bear has climbed a tree in the backyard of a man's home off Cumberland Road in Fayetteville, N.C.

The home is on Sedgfield Drive.

The residents said they heard their dogs barking around 2:30 a.m. and spotted the bear at daylight.

Wildlife officials advised residents to back off and leave the animal alone and it will probably come down by itself.
