CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning women about a man targeting them not far from Soldier Field.

Chicago police say the thief used the credit card he stole within 15 minutes of the robbery at an EconoGas at 43rd and Wentworth.

A woman was robbed at gunpoint in the 1800-block of South Prairie Avenue on Wednesday around 8:30 a.m.

Investigators believe the same robber held a woman up near East Cullerton and State streets four days before in the evening hours.

Robert Blankshain, who walks in the neighborhood often, says this latest armed robbery doesn't have him worried about his safety but he worries for others.

"No, it scares me for my neighbors," he said.

Runners like Rhonda Joubert are now also on alert.

"I'm generally pretty careful but I was scanning the are just to kind of keep an eye out for anyone looking suspicious," Joubert said.

Police describe the robber as a black man between the ages of 21-25 and about 135 pounds. Police say he pulls out a silver handgun and either demands a purse or just grabs the purse.

He may be driving a champagne-colored Chevy with an Illinois handicap license plate - a stolen car from Oak Park from a day before the first robbery.
