Emanuel chides reporter for leaking his vacation plans

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel was not happy when a backstage discussion about his family's upcoming trip to Cuba became part of an interview with Politico reporter Mike Allen.

"Thanks for telling everyone what I'm going to do with my family. Really, you had a private conversation with me and now you've decided to make that public. I really don't appreciate that, number one, I really don't. That's my family," Emanuel said. "No, you asked me what are you going to do this year. I'm expressing to you now publicly my displeasure. My family's trips are my family's."

Emanuel went on to say that he and his wife take his children each year to see another part of the world, like his own parents did when he was growing up.
