Trial begins in 2013 murder of Indiana businesswoman Mary Austgen

GRIFFITH, Ind. (WLS) -- The murder trial began Monday for a man charged with killing an Indiana businesswoman.

Ralph Perez Martinez is accused of killing 76-year-old Mary Austgen in 2013.

Prosecutors say Martinez abducted her from her business in Griffith, Indiana. Her body was later found inside her SUV in the parking garage of the Majestic Star Casino.

Martinez was turned in by his former wife. She thought he resembled the man shown in security photos that were circulated following the murder.
