CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago-based entrepreneur Sanjay Shah, founder and CEO of Vistex, Inc., which is based in Hoffman Estates, Ill., purchased the penthouse of Trump International Hotel and Tower for $17 million cash.

The 14,600 square foot property, situated on the 89th floor of the high rise, was purchased raw and unfinished. Shah estimates it will take an incremental $15 million to complete the space, bringing his total investment to over $30 million. It is the single largest residential real estate transaction in Chicago history.
