Texas mancave on the market for $3 million
LIVINGSTON, TX -- About 90 minutes outside of Houston is the true meaning of "everything is bigger in Texas."
Currently on the market is a backyard pool that resembles a tropical paradise with a pool house that is more of a mancave.
The six-acre private oasis sits right on the bank of Lake Livingston. The property has just been reduced and now comes with a nearly $3 million price tag.
The lazy river circles a 180,000 gallon pool. There's also a 14-foot water slide, islands, fountains, and bridges that make it feel like a resort.
Also on the property is a barndominium (think condominium).
"It's basically a large man-cave with living quarters in it and it has room for 15 cars or more in the garage," said realtor Tim Surratt.
One thing this listing is missing is the house.
"It is the next thing that needs to be done. I don't want to screw it up and not build something to scale for the rest of the property," said owner Brad Stephens.
Stephens, a luxury swimming pool builder by trade, designed the place as a weekend respite.
"It's what I needed to relax on the weekend to go back and hit it for five days a week," Stephens said.
Now he is ready to move on and let another owner dive right in. But the future owners might have to keep up with the Joneses.
"The people who bought the property next door are building a 16,000 square foot barndominium for their toys," Surratt said.
