Dash cam video shows Riverside officer run to avoid crash

RIVERSIDE, Ill. (WLS) -- Dash cam video shows a west suburban police officer as he literally runs for his life.

A Riverside police sergeant dodges an oncoming speeding car just before it crashes into his squad.

All of this happened last June as the sergeant was making an unrelated traffic stop.

Police put out the video Thursday night after the speeding driver pleaded guilty earlier to a DUI charge and a traffic violation.
