US diplomat Robin Raphael investigated by FBI

WASHINGTON (WLS) -- A veteran U.S. diplomat is the target of an FBI investigation. Washington insiders are wondering if Robin Raphael is a spy after federal agents searched her home in an upscale Washington neighborhood recently.

Raphael is one of the government's most senior advisers on Pakistan and South Asian issues.

She began her career as a CIA analyst before spending decades with the Foreign Service and more recently becoming a consultant for the state department.
