Small Business Saturday in Chicago
You've probably heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but Saturday, Nov. 28 is Small Business Saturday.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- You've probably heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but Saturday, Nov. 28 is Small Business Saturday.

The day is dedicated to supporting local businesses across the country. Shopping locally at small businesses helps maintain the diversity of stores, builds strong neighborhoods, creates jobs, provides funds for more city services through sales tax, and promotes community development.

For the fifth year, the South East Chicago Commission (SECC) is taking part in Small Business Saturday. The SECC is hosting several kickoff events throughout the day and is offering a free South Side Shop Local Savings coupon book.

Wendy Walker Williams, the Executive Director of the SECC, joined ABC7 live from one of the kickoff events to celebrate the big shopping day.
