200 couples renew vows in attempt to break world record

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) -- Hundreds of couples didn't just say "I do," they said "I would do it again!" as they renewed their vows Friday night at the Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg.

Organizers hoped to break a world record set back in 2009 when more than a thousand couples tied the knot for a second time.

Friday night's ceremony fell short, but for about 200 couples it was good chance to celebrate their years together.
