CHICAGO (WLS) -- Some Chicago children got a chance to bond with police officers at a chess tournament on Saturday.
The tournament was designed to foster positive relationships between police and the communities they serve.
The entrance fee was a non-perishable food item.
The event was sponsored by the 14th District Caps Office and the Renaissance Knights Chess Organization.
