CHICAGO (WLS) -- A good deed caught on camera generated lots of attention for two Chicago police officers who stopped to help a woman with a 1-month-old baby change a tire.

Sergeant Pat Barker said he didn't know someone was recording as he, his partner and a third man joined a fourth who had already stopped to help.

Barker said the woman's car was hallway in the intersection of North Lakewood Avenue and West Foster Avenue, so their first priority was to make sure her vehicle didn't get hit by oncoming traffic.

"I blocked off the intersection with the police car, provided an avenue of safety for us to get out. The lieutenant and I then assisted him with getting the car completely up on its jack and then changing her tire," Barker said.

Barker joked that it took the four of them longer than he'd like to admit to change the tire. He said he won't be moonlighting as an auto mechanic any time soon.
