Gov. Rauner helps distribute food baskets on South Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- People are gathering at dinner tables Sunday to give thanks ahead of Thursday's Thanksgiving holiday.

Governor Bruce Rauner helped distribute food baskets at the New Beginnings Church of Chicago on the South Side.

Pastor Corey Brooks says the annual tradition helped feed 5,000 families.
