OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- A cafeteria worker is spreading holiday cheer to children at the suburban hospital where she works.

Jessie Tendayi delivered hundreds of gifts to patients at Advocate Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn Monday.

This is the sixth year in a row that she has donated toys.

Tendayi does not have children of her own and says she feels blessed to bring some Christmas joy to the sick children at the hospital.

"If I give a toy to them, I see them smiling," she said. "It gives me lots of joy inside me."

Tendayi says she saves some money out of each of her paychecks to buy the gifts.
