'Mother Wade' honored by Cook County Board
The woman known as "Mother Wade" was honored Tuesday for making a difference in her community.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The woman known as "Mother Wade" was honored Tuesday for making a difference in her community.

The Cook County Board presented Josephine Wade with an award for having "a heart for the people."

Board commissioners also recognized our former ABC7 colleague Charles Thomas for his work in Chicago journalism and politics.
