If you've ever wondered how much your knick knacks or antiques are really worth, Wilmette is the place to be on Saturday.

WILMETTE, Ill. (WLS) -- If you've ever wondered how much your knick knacks or antiques are really worth, Wilmette is the place to be on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The 12th Annual North Shore Treasures Event at the Plaza del Lago gives everyone a chance to appraise their collectibles and heirlooms. The event raises awareness and money for the Les Turner ALS Foundation.

There is a $10 per item suggested donation. Experts will be able to appraise everything from paintings to jewelry and more.

This year, Plaza del Lago is bringing three appraisers to the North Shore, including returning appraiser Daniel Buck Soules. Soules appeared for 11 years as an independent appraiser in Decorative Arts and Collectibles on the PBS television program "Antiques Roadshow."

Soules visited the ABC7 studios before the North Shore Treasures Event to show what kinds of things he'll be looking for.
