CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago park on Northerly Island is now closed for repairs, less than a year after opening, due to erosion caused by high winds and big waves.

The Chicago Park District closed the park to fix the damage and figure out a way to stop further erosion.

The nearly-$10 million park includes bike paths, jogging tracks, a man-made lagoon, and spots to see wildlife.
