Selfie sticks banned at Art Institute of Chicago

Officials say they're worried guests who are snapping selfies may be so distracted that they run into, and possibly damage, priceless artwork.

Leave those selfie sticks at home if you're heading to the Art Institute of Chicago.

The museum has banned selfie sticks because they're worried the long sticks that hold cameras could damage the art or hurt other patrons. Selfie photos are still allowed.

Other items not welcome at the Art Institute include ink pens, big purses and toys.
