South Side students stage walk-a-thon for classmate fighting cancer

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Students at Beasley Elementary School on Chicago's South Side cheered on one of their own Thursday.

The students staged a walk-a-thon to support 11-year-old Madison Booker. Booker is battling stage four neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that affects young children.

Booker says her classmates' support gives her the confidence to continue her fight.
