ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (WLS) -- Parents and their children hoping to help this holiday season are invited to Swapdventure's third annual Holiday Event on Dec. 12. Instead of asking Santa Claus for gifts, participants bring their own new or gently used items for Santa to give another child in need at a shelter or orphanage. With the donated gift, children get a visit with Santa, Snow Princesses, and lots of arts and crafts.
Swapadventure is a social recycling company offering a mix of marketing services and positive brand awareness for companies, provide enormous daily savings for people and communities, and distributes necessities needed for shelters and orphanages. Swapadventure tries to make recycling the ultimate sharing experience.
Co-founders of Swapadventure Maggie Pawelko and Angelika Babich visited ABC7's State Street Studios to preview their big event.
