On Monday,July 25th, the USO of Illinois hosted its sixth annual USO Heartland Golf Classic, an opportunity to "Tee-Off for the Troops" and raise funds for USO of Illinois programs and services that serve over 330,000 military and military families every year. The annual USO Heartland Classic is a one-of-a-kind experience for sporting enthusiasts and features a full day of golf, recreation, and entertainment, including the chance to sponsor a premier golf experience for active duty military members.
Proceeds from the USO Heartland Classic benefit the USO of Illinois. The USO of Illinois serves more than 330,000 military and military families, annually, at five USO center locations--USO O'Hare (Terminal 2 and Terminal 3), USO Midway, USO Great Lakes and USO Rock Island, with over 300 programs and services. The USO enhances the quality of life of the U.S. Armed Forces, lifting morale and providing unique recreational and cultural opportunities. Since 1941, the USO has served as a private, civilian 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that receives no direct government funding, but relies solely on the generosity of the American people.
