Vigil held for mail carrier shot in East Garfield Park

Friends and family are remembering the life of an East Garfield Park mail carrier who was fatally shot outside his home.

They held a vigil Thursday morning in honor of Anthony Hayes near the scene of the deadly shooting at Warren and Francisco.

Police say the 27-year-old was in his car and about to leave for work Tuesday morning when someone opened fire.

His family thinks it was a case of mistaken identity. Police are still searching for the shooter.
