CHICAGO (WLS) -- Athletes from around the globe competed in the Transamerica Triathlon in Chicago Sunday.
Called the largest triathlon in the United States, the 33rd edition of the Chicago Triathlon was held at Monroe Harbor.
The event welcomes athletes with ages as young as seven up to 84.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel was among the competitors and finished 15th in his 55-to-59 age category. Overall the mayor came in 354th place among just over 2,000 athletes.
