FRESNO, Calif. -- A baseball superstar is offering "Major League" encouragement to a Fresno boy who is fighting to walk again - 11-year-old Aidan Nelson was featured in a Good Sports.

Aidan suffers from Diffuse Midline Glioma on the spine. Upon hearing about the boy's battle, Chicago Cubs superstar Anthony Rizzo sent him a picture holding up a sign that read "Stay Strong Aidan."

Rizzo, who recently got engaged, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when he was a teenager. After several months of chemotherapy, he went into remission.

Rizzo often offers encouragement to kids fighting disease, in person and on social media. He frequently visits patients at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and recently donated $3.5 million to the hospital.

The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation provides support for parents so they can take care of their children as they battle disease. CLICK HEREC to find out more.
