CHICAGO (WLS) -- The man accused of stabbing his roommate in the Hyde Park neighborhood is now back in Chicago and charged.

Ross Jacobs, 27, was arrested in Dallas last month after police say he attacked his roommate before fleeing to Texas.

Jacobs is now charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery.

The roommate survived the attack and is now out of the hospital.
