14 hospitalized after Sugar Grove chemical leak

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Fourteen people were taken to hospitals after a chemical leak in suburban Sugar Grove.

The Sugar Grove Fire Department was called around 8:20 a.m. Monday to Bucktail Lane, where they found multiple people with minor health issues.

Some type of chemical was released at a company called Producer Chemical, but investigators are not sure what chemical or how the leak started, officials said.

Some workers were experiencing minor respiratory issues when they were hospitalized.
