LANSING, Ill. (WLS) -- A prayer vigil was held Monday night for a kidnapping and sexual assault victim in south suburban Lansing.

Prosecutors said Carleous Clay attacked the 53-year-old woman on Sept. 17. She's still recovering.

Clay has a history of violence and was living a few blocks away from her as part of a church transition program for ex-cons. Neighbors say they're upset they didn't know more about Clay's past.

Police arrested Clay in Holland, Mich. He's expected to face federal charges in Illinois.
