CHICAGO (WLS) -- A SWAT team found a home on Chicago's South Side home empty Monday after reports that a man barricaded himself inside with a woman.

Officers swarmed the home in the 300-block of East 76th Street in the city's Gresham neighborhood around 10 a.m. People who lived near the home were evacuated as a precaution.

A 23-year-old woman managed to get out of the house unharmed, police said. She told authorities that a 27-year-old man was stilled holed up inside.

When officers entered the home around noon, it was empty.

No one is in custody.

A Special Weapons and Tactics team and Chicago police responded to a possible barricade situation on the city's South Side late Monday morning.
