Irv Kupcinet statue returns after repairs

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The statue of former Chicago Sun-Times columnist Irv Kupcinet is back in place on Wacker and Wabash in Chicago.

The statue was taken away last April to repair damage to the base.

The veteran writer known for his "Kup's Column" began his journalism career as a sports writer for the Chicago Daily Times, now known as the Chicago Sun-Times, in 1935.
