RIVERDALE, Ill. (WLS) -- Metra police have charged a man with threatening a Metra Electric Line conductor and passenger with a knife, officials said.

Tony Hale, of Riverdale, was involved in an argument with the conductor and passenger around 1 p.m. Monday when police say he got off Train #131 at 137th and Illinois, allegedly removed a steak knife from his backpack and threatened the two.

Police say the suspect allegedly fled the scene but another conductor spotted him on Thursday based on a bulletin seeking his arrest. He was arrested around 8 a.m.

Hale has been charged with aggravated assault to a transit employee and is due in court Dec. 14.
