Tornado watch issued for several Chicago area counties

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for DeKalb, LaSalle and Livingston counties until 1 a.m. Monday.

A tornado watch indicates that conditions are favorable for formation of a tornado, but does not mean severe weather is imminent.
