CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people were injured in a crash involving more than one vehicle on the outbound Kennedy Expressway near Armitage Avenue Tuesday morning.
All lanes of the outbound Kennedy and the entrance ramp at Armitage were shut down around 8 a.m. after an EMS Plan 1 response was called, sending five ambulances to the scene.
Four adults were rushed to the hospital in serious-to-critical condition and one child was transported in fair condition to Lurie Children's Hospital, authorities said.
All lanes of the outbound Kennedy and the entrance ramp at Armitage re-opened within the hour.
