CHICAGO (WLS) -- More people rode CTA trains in 2015 than any previous year in history.

The transit agency released a report showing 241 million rides were taken on L trains and subways in that year. The greatest increase in ridership was on the Green Line, which the CTA chalked up to the opening of the McCormick Place station. The Red Line had the most number of rides overall, followed by the Blue Line.

Bus ridership declined slightly, by less than one percent, compared to 2014. The CTA says the 2015's February blizzard and road construction are behind the slight dip in bus rides.
