Man struck by Blue Line at Clark and Lake

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Blue Line service resumed with residual delays through the downtown subway about an hour after an emergency at Clark and Lake streets Tuesday morning after a person was hit by a train.

A CTA official tells us the incident happened around 7:45 a.m. The Blue Line resumed service around 9 a.m. Shuttle buses were in place between the Damen and UIC stops during the shutdown.

There was no update on the condition of the man struck by the train.
