CHICAGO (WLS) -- A water main break in the 300-block of North Canal shut down the West Loop street briefly Friday morning.

The leak occurred at about 7:30 a.m. and closed North Canal between Fulton and Kinzie.

After crews closed the 12-inch main to stop the leak, the street reopened.

During the break, there was no water pressure available to one high-rise on that street.

The incident happened near the Ogilvie Transportation Center but Metra was not affected.
