Chicago one of TripAdvisor's top destinations in 2015
CHICAGO (WLS) -- TripAdvisor named Chicago the no. 2 U.S. destination for 2015 in their Travelers' Choice awards. Award winners were determined based on the quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions worldwide gathered over a 12-month period.
New York City topped the rankings, which included other popular tourism cities including Las Vegas, Seattle, Washington D.C., San Francisco and New Orleans. A few cities off the beaten path were included in the top 10 as well, like Charleston, S.C. and Palm Springs, Calif.
TripAdvisor also ranked the top destinations worldwide. The top 10 international cities were, in order: Marrakech, Morocco; Siem Reap, Cambodia; Istanbul, Turkey; Hanoi, Vietnam; Prague, Czech Republic; London, England; Rome, Italy; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Paris, France; and Cape Town, South Africa.
