Cuba hits tourism record with 4 million visitors in 2016

HAVANA, Cuba (WLS) -- Tourism in Cuba hit an all-time record high in 2016.

Four million people visited the communist island in 2016, according to government officials.

Most of the tourists were from North America and Europe.

Warmer relations between the United States and Cuba are partially responsible for the new record.
