CHICAGO (WLS) -- Columbia Furniture is closing after nearly 100 years in business.

The same family has operated the store in Ukrainian Village for since 1920.

They sold the building for $2.85 million dollars, explaining that the real estate is apparently more valuable than the furniture business. A going-out-of-business sale is slated to begin Thursday.
