University of Rochester students from Illinois allegedly tortured for 40 hours

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WLS) -- An indictment claims two University of Rochester students from Illinois were tortured and sexually assaulted for 40 hours by a gang of six people.

One of the young men was also shot in the leg, the indictment said.

The pair was reported missing on December 5th. The SWAT team found and rescued them the next day.

Six people are now facing charges.
