Walgreens stores now offers disposal kiosks for unused medication.

The pharmacy installed these kiosks inside 45 stores across Illinois so people can toss their old prescriptions.

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, said the kiosks will keep medications out of the hands of people who abuse them.

Once filled, a waste company will empty the kiosks and the medications will be destroyed.
