Waukegan rally urges striking teachers to return to class

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Parents and community leaders gather for a rally urging teachers in Waukegan to return to class for the sake of their students.

The group says they feel teachers can return to school while the union is in talks with the school board for a new contract.

They say the strike is affecting students the most.

Monday's classes have already been canceled as the strike now enters its fourth full week.

Negotiations are set to resume Monday morning.
