Wendell Phillips Academy to play in state football quarterfinal

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Bronzeville's Wendell Phillips Academy is looking to make history in the next few weeks.

The football team takes on Geneseo in the Class 4-A quarterfinal Saturday night.

If they manage to win that game and two more, they would become the first Chicago Public School to win a state football championship.
