New cases of West Nile Virus in Illinois

Southwest suburban Plainfield is among the latest community to have confirmed reports of West Nile Virus, state officials said.

Twenty three counties, including Will County, in Illinois have reported positive test results involving birds and mosquitoes.

There are no human cases reported.

Authorities remind people to help fight the spread of West Nile by getting rid of standing water.
