Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile in Glenview

GLENVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- The West Nile virus has made its return the Chicago area.

The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District says a batch of mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile Thursday in north suburban Glenview.

It's the first positive test for West Nile there this year. Seven other batches of mosquitoes collected from the same trap earlier this week tested negative.

The mild winter means mosquitoes are showing up earlier this year.
