Woodridge apartment fire displaces 7 families

WOODRIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- An apartment building fire in west suburban Woodridge displaced seven families Monday evening, officials said.

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries. No residents were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire started at about 5 p.m. at 3004 Roberts Drive. Firefighters remained on the scene into the evening putting out hot spots.

The roof and top floor sustained extensive damage.
