CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city of Chicago has been ordered to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to a man who was injured and wrongfully arrested by police.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, filed a lawsuit after claiming an officer crashed into him the night the White Sox won the World Series in 2005. He says he was heading home when an officer T-boned him at Lake and Kedzie, breaking his leg.

He says since the crash, he hasn't been able to play sports with his son.

A jury found the City of Chicago and the officer liable for the injury, and awarded him $319,000.
