"I live on Pulaski just a little further south, and there are a lot of accidents on Pulaski," the witness said. "So it's really sad to see that this continues to happen."
Some residents think it's time to find creative ways to make Pulaski, which has a long history of speeding, drag racing, drifting and overall reckless driving, safer.
"It's been a very tough week on Pulaski Rd," 14th Ward Alderwoman Jeylú Gutiérrez said in a statement. "A few days ago I requested to meet with CDOT. Today's incident once again shows the urgency to make this stretch safer. I plan to engage CDOT, planning department, and constituents to come up with a comprehensive plan to come up with solutions to this problem."
