Police responded to a shots fired call in the 8500-block of South Winchester Avenue in Auburn Gresham just after 11:30 p.m., according to CPD.

When officers arrived, they saw a male person nearby. As officers tried to speak with him, they saw flashes of light and heard loud noises from where he was standing.
An officer then fired shots at the person. No one was hurt, and no one is in custody.

The Chicago Civilian Office of Police Accountability also responded to the scene. The officer involved will be placed on routine administrative duties for a period of 30 days.
