Police have been working closely with her family to search for the missing teen. They are heartsick, and desperate to find her.

"I just really, really want her to come home. That's what we all hope for, just for her to simply show up, be fine, nothing, nothing happened to her. And just come home," said her sister Jocelyn Rubi Romero.

Her relatives said Romero graduated from Barrington High School a year early and is now a Harper College student. They said she disappeared on her way to a holiday party at the Bowlero near Hawthorn Mall.

"God forbid someone took her, but if they did please, please don't do anything to her," her sister said.

Surveillance video shows her Monday night arriving at a cousin's house in Des Plaines. From there, relatives said she went to the holiday party around 7 p.m. Police said a car license plate reader and a ping from one of her devices put her near that location, but investigators said cameras at the business don't show her at the party.

"We don't even know if she even made it to the party or what happened," Joceyln Rubi Romero said.

Romero is described as a 5 ft. tall girl who weighs approximately 115 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said she drives a 2008 Nissan Rogue with Illinois license plate CZ64618.

Relatives say it's not like Brissa to be out of touch for any period time. They say she was very excited to go to that holiday party and about this upcoming Christmas.
